Cebu Updates 26

Hello, guys! Here is a fresh batch of Cebu updates, for those who are actually waiting. I have to warn you, though. This one is a bit long as these are photos that I’ve collected over the past few weeks. I didn’t want to give you a short update just for the sake of creating a new post.

So, anyway, without further ado, here’s what’s new, what’s happening, and what’s cookin’ in our beloved Cebu!






The Cebu City Medical Center is looking pretty swell. Hopefully, it will be completed within the year so that the hospital staff can finally move out of the Fire Station next door.


One half of the very busy Mananga Bridge in Talisay City is currently being repaired (going to the city,) so you can expect traffic to be very heavy especially during peak hours.


Streetscape in Maria Luisa Road in Banilad is adding a new wing. And it looks like it’s going to be operational very soon.


The high-end development The Ascott Limited’s Citadines Cebu City along Juana OsmeƱa St is almost ready to roll.


Parthenon Residences across Robinsons Galleria Cebu is also nearing completion.


Mandani Bay at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City has topped off their first four towers.


Robinsons Galleria Cebu’s residential towers are starting to rise.


Gatewalk Central in Mandaue City (right next to the Mahiga Creek) is starting to take shape.


The Citi Park Hotel in Panagdait in Mabolo is building a second tower.


The food vendors outside the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center recently did major renovations to their stalls.


The first signs of development can now be seen within the White Gold Club compound.


The Grand Tower Cebu building behind SM City Cebu is poised to become one of the city’s tallest structures.


The Mahiga Creek clearing, clean-up, and dredging are still on-going.


The Gatewalk Mall, the pilot development in the whole Gatewalk Central project, is rising fast.


This multi-story building, a Robinsons Galleria Residences tower, will soon be topped off.


A Jollibee will soon rise very close to the Port Area (just across Plaza Independencia.)


The newly-repaired Gotiaoco Building will soon open to the public as a Chinese Heritage museum.


This mid-rise along Escario Street is rising fast without being noticed.


The expansion project of Golden Peak Hotel along Escario Street is finally nearing completion.


This unnamed structure along Escario Street (Molave Street to be more exact) is quite massive.


Taft East Gate at the Cebu Business Park is slowly taking shape.


Just across the street, Minore Center and Hotel by Duros Land is also slowly rising.


The massive Orion Tower along AS Fortuna in Mandaue City is rising very fast.


The old and unused Picasso Cafe along Escario Street has been torn down. Can’t wait to see what happens next.


Another unknown structure along Escario Street (right next to the old SSS building) is helping make Escario one of the city’s busiest major thoroughfares.


Finally, after many months, Metro Gaisano Ayala is finally rising!


The highrise condo tower The Alcove, right next to Ayala Center Cebu, is now one of the area’s tallest towers.


JEG Tower along Archbishop Reyes Avenue is looking pretty iconic.


Cityscapes Grand Tower along Archbishop Reyes Avenue doesn’t want to be left behind.


Probably one of the most unique and beautiful structures in Cebu to date – the Montage – is finally nearing completion.


1 Nito Tower, located just below the Archbishop Reyes Avenue flyover is now on its second level.


And last but not the least, the very exciting Central Bloc Ayala Mall in Cebu IT Park, is opening very soon. Take a look at the mall from various sides.
