Danao City: Welcome to Durano Country!

Hello, everyone! I returned to Danao City over the weekend so I was able to take a couple of shots. If you’re outside the Philippines and you’re having some serious ‘missing Danao City’ problems, this blog post is for you. I hope you enjoy the photos! 🙂

You’re Leaving the town of Compostela. Welcome to Danao City!

One of the most recognizable spots in Danao City is the Danao Port where boats that take people to Camotes are docked.

The Nother National Road as seen from the gates of the Danao City church.

The seaside plaza of Danao as seen from the church.

Danao City’s 412-year old church is still looking gorgeous.

Check out the details of this age-old church.

They even call it Duranao. 🙂 My late dad & sister used to work for them. I used to go there for gatherings. It’s a nice place!

As I can remember, the gatherings were held outdoors. My older sisters tagged me along with them during outings with Teddy. One time we rode a speed boat driven by him. He came to our house, I was so excited to see him! 🙂 My sisters have gone to his place as well. Then when I went to college in Inmaculada, I met him again through a schoolmate. 🙂 They’re a very nice family.

  4. Dear Leylander:
Thank you for posting different pictures and stories of Cebu. Truly you are a genius.
God bless. Continue what you are doing. You are helping people around the globe.

  5. Hi! I just came across this site by accident. I just want to find some relatives and trace back the roots of my mom and grandma. My grandmother is a Durano and her mother is from the Casas clan. Do drop me an email. Who knows, we might share some common business and interests. 🙂
