We weren’t able to go to Negros for the long break because some things came up (more like some things didn’t actually come up. LOL) so I spent the whole Thursday just driving around and shooting what I could shoot. I’m quite happy with the captures because I’m sure that I couldn’t get some of them during regular working days. Anyways, I hope you like the photos. May you guys have a meaningful Holy Week.
The Cebu Radisson Hotel is almost ready. The 400-room hotel right beside SM City Cebu will open in June. Isn’t the building just iconic?

And the race is on! Who do you think will win?

The u/c buildings of Grand Cenia Hotel and Residences and Hong Kong Plaza Hotel.

The aftermath of the huge blaze near R. Landon Street.

Tents set up for the victims.

This used to be a sari-sari store and a carenderia.

The road to SM City Cebu. Nice.

The port-area road parallel to the main road.

The newly-opened Sugbutel.

The port area is now a bit cleaner because of the newly constructed Quimonda IT Building.

They say this road will be the test ground for the implementation of the BRT in Cebu. How true?

beautiful photos, Ley, as usual.
i can’t wait to be back this June! see you
nice shots ley
theres a lot new buildings since i was there 2 yrs ago, last time they had just finished the new section of sm (i think, bad memory) 🙂
happy easter *smoochies*
nindot kaayo ang mga pix dhong, as always. grabe na kaayo ang progress sa cebu. i may not like gov. gwen but the things that she has done to our city is commendable gyud. and youre right, the best time to take pix of the busy streets of cebu is during the lenten week. how i wish im home right now. im crossing my fingers i can get 4weeks vacation soon so i can go home. but back to the pix, luoya pod sa mga na-apektuhan sa sunog, karon pa nga samot na kalisod ang panahon.
Mardie, Gov. Gwen governs the Cebu province, although her office in the Capitol is in Cebu city. The province has some projects in the city but credit should go to the City Mayor who heads the city government and is responsible for Cebu City’s progress.
Have a Blessed, Happy & Safe Easter to all MCPB friends
Wla diay ka nakapag Maunday Thursday sa Negros Ley,
anyway thanx for your time driving around taking this shots for us,
My heart goes to the fire victims. I experienced Sunog, luckily our rented place is safe. Pait kau ang masunugan oy!
Wow, beautiful looking buildings! My heart goes to the fire victims. I bet you a commercial building will be built on that site. 🙂 Nice pix, Ley.
Nindot lagi tan-awon sa picture pero ngano man ug sa tinood imo makit-an di lagi nindot lantawon hehehe seguro tongod sa kahugaw sa palibot ug sa traffic..but still love the CEBU…..
nyahahaha. tingali focused lang ka sa bati. try to see the real beauty of our city. look at things as though you’ve never seen them before. 😀
of kurs lab nako ang shhhhhheboooooooo! ! ! !
‘ti, di man lang nato tan-awon ang nindot nga bldg. sa atong palibot ang atong tan-awon ang tibook lugar. mahimo na man hinoon nga makalolooy tan-awon ang cebu kay wa man tagai ug bili ang ubang butang that needs to be done.
haha kana imong gi suggest na sulayan na kana nako ondo. mas nindot pa tong ubang probinsya sama sa bohol kay bisan di ka kakita ug tag-as nga bldg. malinawon, limpyo ug relax ka sa imong pag lulinghayaw kay way way makapuling sa imong panan-aw.
What’s up ley, i would like to take photography as a hobby… did some research about dslr cameras and end up with 2 choices… canon 450d rebel or nikon d80,pricewise both are pretty much the same…if you or any other regular of this blog would like to give an opinion about those cameras, i would appreciate it very much.Nice photos Ley,mura na og propesyonal nga maniniyot.Comment on the Radisson Hotel… that’s an ugly ass looking building mate… see you amigo and Happy Easter to All.
hey dazz.
my friends and my boss are using nikon. d40 to ilaha. i can’t say anything about canon kay wala pa ko kita. hehehe. ok ra man sad daw ang nikon. nindot daw ang d80.
Ley, you should do some driving more often… through your camera, capture the true essence of the city…. like, the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly, and,the clean and the dirty…Anyway, thanks for the update.
He, he, he. like doing a Cebu sa Kuko ng Liwanag thing!
Finally…That huge building near SM will be used. It’s been dormant for years (10?)
nindot ug dako na kaayo and kausaban sa reclemation and mabolo, i was born in mabolo and lived there during the first part of my life before my parents migrated to the US, lahi na kaayo and hitsura compara before……… my grandparents lot now a highly priced location was bought buy the chinese for merely 25cents a ssqm now costs millions to own!
Kumusta Ley, this morning i went out and got myself a new camera.I was meant to get a d40 but after a week of looking, i couldn’t find a store that sell them.Anyhow, i went to JB hi-fi store ( popular store around Autralia cos it’s cheaper) and bought a nikon d60 with 18-55 and 55-200 mm VR lense as part of the package.RRP was AUS 1,197.00 and after asking for discount, the dude sold it to me for AUS 1,000.00 a 197 dollar discount.I thought i got a great deal and i really like this camera, it’s like a d40 with turbo.See you amigo.
wow. that’s a nice camera. congrats on the great buy!
Ang Boardwalk Mall wala pa gyud tennants? Sayanga oi! Nice unta baya kaayo ang location…murag marina.
Finally they are going to do something with that building. I will be interesting to see if all the hotels in Cebu will be able to keep up with the low amount of tourists now visiting. Occupancy at the other major hotels in the city are way down.
open pa ba mga gay bars diha, im here in ozamis and one time nakapunta kami sa may navigator gay bar sa mandaue , ang cute ng mga macho dancers kaya lang ang daming koreana , ang iingay nila parang ngayon lang sila nakakita ng hubad na lalake
