The Sinulog Opening Parade, often referred to as Sinulog Opening Salvo, is an event that officially marks the start of the Sinulog festivities in Cebu City. Usually, the event begins with a parade that runs from downtown Cebu City and ends at the Cebu City Sports Center where a program is held.
The event is an important part of the Sinulog celebrations in Cebu City because various sectors take part in it. Present during the parade and the subsequent program are local government officials, Cebuana beauty queens, Girls and Boys Scouts, the Cebu City Brass Band, motorcycle and sports car enthusiasts, public high school contingents, private high school and college contingents, and more!

The contingent from Mabolo where the original Sinulog dancers were from, participated in the Sinulog 2025 Opening Salvo parade.
Local government officials were also part of the parade.
Cebuana beauty queens were also present during the parade. This one is the reigning Sinulog Festival Queen.

The current Miss Cebu Finalists were also there.
They were followed by the different contingents from various public and private schools, barangays, and companies in Cebu.
