An Out Of Cebu post.
Satchmo and I flew to Manila last Friday night to visit Masil and Mary Ann who now both live in Caloocan City. Here are some photos of our short but fun trip in the Metro.
Satchmo is all smiles!

I left the office at around four in the afternoon to finish packing our things. The plane was scheduled to depart at 9:25 but I wanted to be there before eight so that I could use the free computer in Lounge 5. LOL. We arrived at exactly7:45. At around 9:20, the passengers were informed that for whatever reason, the plane would leave at 10:30.
Satchmo anxious to get on the plane.

We finally left at 10:30. Free water during the flight. LOL.

We arrived a few minutes after midnight. Masil and Mary Ann were still waiting for us, thank God. I actually thought that they’d left. We got on a cab and arrived at their place a full hour later. Here is Satchmo relaxing on top of a relative. Hahaha.

He didn’t say no to coffee-flavored candy. I bet he was that hungry.

After dinner, we went straight to bed. We woke up early the next day and visited the Grace Park chuch. It was a really nice church.

Interior of the church. Nice.

After that, Mary Ann and Masil granted my request. LRT ride! Hahaha. The thing is amazing! I later learned that cameras were not allowed inside the station. Very sorry.

A long covered foot path towards Line 2.

Line 2. This was where a kind gentleman told me to hide my camera before a guard confiscates it.

A few minutes later, we reached Marikina City. Our hosts took us to the Marikina River Bank Center. The view was fantastic. Here’s a view of the river, the skyscrapers, and SM City Marikina.

View of the park fronting Marikina River Bank Center.

Elephants. Of course they’re not real. Hehehe.

The Marikina City Zoo.

The MRBC park. Very clean and nice.

Bike path. Very nice.

Satchmo relaxing on a tree branch.

Pink (mean) machine!

Masil and Mary Ann. Thanks guys!

On our way back to the mall.

Walking towards the makeshift bridge.

Bridge and the LRT.

Statue of a mermaid.

That evening, we visited SM-North Edsa, and Trinoma. Mary Ann and Masil in Trinoma.

The next day, we went to Divisoria and spent the rest of the day resting and preparing for our flight home. We left the house at 5. And by 6, we were already at the airport for our 7:30 flight. Satchmo eating noodles at the airport.

At 7:20, the passengers were informed that the flight would be delayed. The plane would leave at 9. Then, at 9, we were told that the plane would leave at 9:30. The passengers were restless. Some passengers started shouting and cussing. The shouting and cussing stopped when we were given free food. LOL.

Passengers lining up for food.

Thanks Masil, Mary Ann, and Jay for a very nice weekend in Manila. We’ll be back before you guys know it. 😀
