On The Edge!

I met an MCPB reader this morning. He is in town for the holidays. He gave me a very nice Christmas gift and 50 US dollars! (Woohoo! Big, big thanks, Sir!)

100_2925iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiThe moment I got the money, I knew right away how I’d spend it. I called Masil (who was more than willing to go with me. hahahaha)  and we went straight to the Crown Regency tower.

We went to the 38th floor and we waited at the lounge for our turn to ride the Edge Coaster.

We were understandbly nervous and anxious but we were very excited and happy as well. It was definitely an experience of a lifetime and we’ve both made up our minds that we wouldn’t waste the opportunity and give in to our fears.

What can I say about the experience? It was awesome, awesome, awesome! Murag matagak imong kalag. Hahahaha.  Labi na gyud kung imong i-tilt, you can see the ground na gyud and murag mu-free fall na ka. Sige kog press sa button para mu-tilt, si Masil sigeg pug press para dili mu-tilt. Hahahaha. The perfect word to describe the experience? KULBAHINAM! Hahahaha.  I will surely do it again (pero next year na lang kay dakog damage sa budget. hahahaha)

The tilting Edge Coaster. Awesome!

When you enter the main door, get on the elevator and press 19. The 19th floor is where the snack bar and the ticket counters are located. Entrance fee is Php 380 per person. That’s inclusive of a snack and a drink (bottomless). If you want to ride the Edge Coaster, you’ll have to pay another Php 500. But hey! There’s no need to fret. They have this special Buy 1 Take 1 promo (until Dec 31 only, I heard). So, even if you buy only one ‘entrance’ ticket and one ‘ride’ ticket, you don’t have to worry about killing your paycheck because your buddy ( if you decide to tag one along) can get in absolutely free!

Our tickets! Woohoo! So excited!

While waiting for your ride, you can check out the different sights and sounds of the 38th floor. This one right here is the sky bar. This looks really gorgeous at night.

You can use these telescopes for only ten pesos!

This structure is the ‘crown’ which can be seen  on the ground. This is the part with very nice lights at night.

When it’s your turn, you will be asked to sign a waiver.

After that, you will be taken to the ‘coasters’.

Your safety will be the main priority and you will be instructed on what to do during your ‘flight’.

  2. CEBU is like a goldmine. The potential of this place is immense.I just hope that from now on,people should realize that it is important to have the right team of politician to govern this island.Get rid of corrupt officials, embrace the different company who wants to invest in our city (especially, Australians). We need to open our door to Australians because i do believe that they are honest, smart, and fair. Not to mention, a great leader name Kevin Rudd as our prime minister.By the way,i think that i would shit in my pants if you put me up there. Thanks for the pictures ley, i think that your getting better at it.I just can’t believe the amount of changes Cebu has. It’s wonderful. Thanks to our mayor Tommy and gov.Gwen.Keep it up.
