In Photos: Cebu Street Scene 2007

When I went out of the office today, I learned that the rear tire of my bike was busted. So I left it at the park space and got on the first jeep that passed by. Good thing I had my trusty camera with me.  I was able to take some photos of the weekday street scene in Cebu City.

Jones Avenue (midtown Cebu City) at 5:oo in the afternoon

Escario Street and a view of the Golden Peak Hotel

Golden Peak Hotel towering in the distance.

The new McDonald’s in Escario is opening very soon!

The Cebu Provincial Capitol looking dainty and clean.

Light traffic at the Osmeña Boulevard.

The former Food Street (home of Carlo’s Batchoy) is now fenced off for a low-rise project of Avon.

View of the Fuente Osmeña’s beautiful high-rises.

Metrobank Plaza Tower and the towering Crown Regency.

Traffic on the right headed uptown is starting to slow down a bit.

Nalipong ko sa jeep. Haha!

  2. Hi,

Used your Cebu Street Scene in class today – have 16 students – 18-24 year olds. They are supposed to comment on 1 – 3 of your postings.

They are also suppose to use your blog as a model – no kidding – it is one of the best I have seen when I searched on what to use for my class – it is very clean – no bad words – very well organized.

Just thought I would let you know.

    Thanks!

    Edna

  6. The only buildings I recognize here are Metrobank Plaza and the Provincial Capitol. By the way, I am amazed by the seeming lack of traffic congestion, even during the 5PM rush hour. Normal ba ni? That would be really amazing kung ingon ana gyud.
