If there’s a certain food that got REALLY noticed this year, it has got to be the Siomai of Tisa.
If I’m correct, one of the very first siomai stalls was that tiny little stall named “Walay Tugpahay” in Tisa. The Siomai Sa Tisa quickly became a phenomenon and people from as far as Mandaue would flock to Tisa to taste this perfect late-night snack. Each siomai is sold at Php6. Siomai goes well with siopao (see picture), batchoy, puso (hanging rice,) pancit canton, and of course, a bottle of soda!
