MCPB - Solea Resort

An Afternoon By the Pool at Solea Mactan Cebu Resort

I must say that out of all the resorts that I’ve visited in Mactan, the one that really made me want to come back for more was the Solea Mactan Cebu Resort in Alegria, Cordova.

See, my very first visit to the resort was during a press conference which lasted for only about 2 hours. And those two hours were spent in a room with other members of the press asking questions and getting answers.

So I promised myself that I would definitely come back one day not as a member of the media but as a customer who simply wants to spend an entire afternoon by the pool.

And true enough, it all became a reality one day in February when I was finally able to pay this truly beautiful resort a quick but sweet visit.

Take a look!

Solea Mactan Cebu

The Solea Mactan Cebu Resort is made up of three different developments. The first two were previously separate entities (with the brand only owning one). But I think one of them was then acquired by the brand. Much later, a third development was created right next to the first two. Today, the complex offers different activities and amenities fit for basically all types of customers.

One of the selling points of the entire result complex is their massive swimming pools. Seriously I’ve lost count exactly how many pools they have. But I tell you, they’ve got tons!

Here is a view of the main network of swimming pools from one of the private hotel rooms. Don’t the pools look gorgeous?

I would be lying if I said that the Solea is a pretty small property. It is actually massive. And it sits right next to the ocean!

One of the most visited areas in the whole resort is this pool with a massive inflatable course. Take a look at that!

New Wing at Solea Mactan Cebu

The newest wing offers guests a more chic and more sophisticated experience. Even the pool looks pretty impressive.

The new structure also adds value to the already impressive complex.

Take a look at the pool at night. Doesn’t that look beautiful?

Big Open Spaces

The resort also has a lot of open spaces as well as nooks and crannies that are perfect for unwinding and relaxation. This quiet dessert shop looks pretty cozy.

If you want fresh air and lush greens, you will surely enjoy taking long afternoon strolls.

This giant chess board sits next to a huge green space. Doesn’t the view look gorgeous?

This open bar gives guests a chance to relax and enjoy their favorite mixes at the same time.

The inflatable course is perfect for families, office workers, gangs, and basically anyone who wants to have a perfectly fun time at the beach.

This causeway is perfect for bicycling, skateboarding, and rollerskating.

Amazing Rooftop Bar

On top of the main building, a rooftop bar gives guests an amazing panoramic view of Mactan and the surrounding islands.

The busy main Cebu island can be seen from up here!

Buffet at Earth Restaurant

Probably my most favorite part of my stay was the impressive Earth buffet restaurant.

Service was great, the place was well-maintained, and the food was so yummy!
