Nineteen years ago, I created My Cebu Photo Blog to share snapshots of Cebu and the everyday stories that make this place feel like home. I never imagined that what started as a personal project would grow into a space where hundreds, if not thousands, of readers could connect, reminisce, and celebrate the beauty of Cebu together.
Today, My Cebu Photo Blog turns 19 years old. That’s nearly two decades of documenting festivals, food trips, hidden gems, and the little joys that remind us why Cebu is so special.

Over the years, the blog has evolved alongside me. From grainy early photos to (slightly more) polished travel features, each post has been a reflection of my journey, not just as a blogger but also as someone who is proudly Cebuano. The awards, recognitions, and opportunities have been humbling, but the real reward has always been the messages from readers who say they enjoy reading my stories.
This milestone wouldn’t be possible without all my readers, friends, and supporters. Every comment, share, and quiet visit has fueled my passion to keep writing and taking countless photographs. You’ve made this blog more than just a personal archive. Actually, you’ve turned it into a community. And I am truly grateful.
As My Cebu Photo Blog enters its 19th year, I remain committed to continuing what I had started. I’ll continue to share stories that are honest, relatable, and rooted in comfort and belonging. Whether it’s a bustling fiesta, a quiet street corner, or a plate of puso and barbecue, I’ll try my best to keep capturing the everyday magic of Cebu.
Thank you for 19 years of support, encouragement, and shared memories. Here’s to more snapshots, more stories, and more years of honoring and celebrating Cebu!

Congrats bai Lei! Many more years to blog!!
daghang salamat, sir Joselito! 🙂
