If you study the 2021 Sinulog Schedule of Activities, you will notice that some of the events are new. One of these events is the See Cebu in Carousel launch. I must say I have seen the concept in past Sinulogs. However, this is the very first time that I’ve seen an actual launch done on the streets.
If I understand correctly, the See Cebu in Carousel is a project that aims to highlight some of Cebu’s best tourist spots during the Sinulog season. Photos of these famous spots are placed on steel scaffolding along the main route of the parade. These board are placed several hundred meters from each other. They also come with photo stand-ins and various other information about the Sinulog and the feature spots.

I was able to take a photo of Vince Escario. He is the Sinulog season’s go-to host. In the photo, he was preparing for the start of the launch.
Traveling through Jones Avenue, I saw different groups dancing in front of each photo board.
Looks like this is the only Sinulog action we will see this year. Let’s all hope for a much better and safer Sinulog in 2022. 🙂
