Last Sunday, the city of Danao celebrated its fiesta with its very own Karansa Festival! Luckily, my friend Line was in town because she was a ninang in one of her friends’ baby’s christening. So, after her ‘church duties,’ she was able to sneak out and take a couple of photos of the lively and colorful parade. Let us take a look!
Danao City’s Karansa Festival is a parade of beautiful colors. Happy Fiesta Danao City!

Wow! Just like a mini sinulog.=) Danao is a beautiful place!
This looks like a very festive celebration. I bet it would be fun to go to, they all look so cool.

Seeing the pictures of the city where I grew up brought back a lot of happy memories. The last time I attended a Danao fiesta was 25 years ago; I’ve been back home but not during the month of September, we can only travel to Pinas in June or July during the kids’ summer school break. So, this is the only way I’ll be able to experience the fiesta. Thank you so much for sharing the photos. Nagsenti sad ko ug gamay when I saw Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Church. Anyhow, about the couple on the float that you could not recognize, the man in Barong Tagalog standing is Dr. Julian Banzon, he’s part of the Danawanons of USA and Canada medical and dental mission which is a yearly trip of the Danawanons from North America. Lingaw kaayo ko sa imong blog, hope you’ll feature more about Danao. God bless.
