  1. This makes me miss Cebu even more. Im from Cebu but i live now in California. You got a great blog! Thanks for the update. I’ll lurking around here often.

  2. wow! 15 yrs.ago, dili mn ing ani ang cebu ui…lahi na jd kaayo karon… daghan na jd ug mga new structures/bldgs… anyway, again thanks for the update ley. :0

  3. You can tell that a place is booming by the number of the cranes standing. Right on Cebu. Soon you are not just an island in the Pacific but an Island Nation in the Pacific. Forget imperial Manila.

  4. I do hope, too, that they would do something to improve the social welfare of those still living below poverty level. These buildings may be good to look at, but if you don’t do something to stop creating more poverty it might turn into another Manila. Also, improve the quality of transport accessibility (get rid of jeepney and make more for buses, with drivers who are qualified enough to man-handle the vehicles more competently). Encourage the people to also go for public transport so as not to make traffic so congested – like Manila is now. Perhaps trams/cable cars should have been the better alternative for being less pollutant mode of transport. I also wish that they would make ultimatums to make people NOT trash their surroundings – like how Davao City operated itself.

That aside, I wish for Cebu more hope that it would not only surpass Manila in terms of infrastructure but also on the welfare of everybody in it. Cheers.
