Visiting the Brand New Danao City Civic Center

After a wonderful dinner of chicken and burger at Jollibee Danao (they close at 8:30, hehe) we dropped by the new Danao Civic Center. It’s a good thing that two teams were actually playing when we got there. At least I got to check the place out.  Entrance fee was only Php10.00, too. Sweet!

The Danao Civic Center is Danao City’s new multi-purpose gym. It has a huge court and a classy interior. Who’s project was this again?  The gym’s facade was all glassy that this new project totally stood out among all other older structures in Danao City. I mean, it’s a pretty nice structure, but Danao is known for its classy, laid-back, ancestral feel with all its countless old buildings, old streets, and old plazas. I just feel like this structure is a bit out of place.

It was full house tonight. The interior looking fresh and nice. I think the structure hasn’t been fully completed yet.

Ticket booths near the front of the building.

Stairs to the second-level bleachers.

View of the seats on the second floor.

View of the left wing as well as the main stage.

View of the whole court and the stage in front of it.

The foyer area of the civic center is all glassy.

The restrooms are clean and well-lit.

View of the court from the foyer area.

Have you visited the Danao Civic Center? What do you think of this new (and shiny) structure in Danao City?

  1. Where is this place located? I have a lot of relatives in Danao and used to stay there every summer. Is this the old multi-purpose building? Nga duol sa merkado>
