There’s a new interesting spot in Cebu and it’s something that Cebuano adventure-seekers and adrenaline junkies of all ages would surely enjoy! Aptly called WaterWorld Cebu, the new waterpark features 10 extreme water slides, a 200-meter lazy river, an exciting water playground, a massive 1,800 sqm wave pool, and a whole lot more. The new and exciting waterpark finally had its soft opening on December 14, 2019, and, of course, I was there to see what the fuzz was about.

Location
WaterWorld Cebu is located right next to the Marcelo Fernan Bridge (second Mactan Bridge), UN Avenue, Mandaue City Cebu. If you’re taking a private vehicle, be sure to take the U-Turn slot (right turn) before going up the bridge. The sign is not too big so you have to keep your eyes open for this turn.

Rates
As a promo rate, tickets for locals are priced at Php400 (weekdays) and Php500 (weekends). The management didn’t indicate until when this rate will be observed. But once these rates are lifted, regular pricing will apply.

Amenities
WaterWorld Cebu has its own parking lot (FREE), as well as changing rooms, shower rooms, and a waiting area. The waterpark also has a fully-staffed clinic, ambulance on standby, and resort staff roaming the area at all times of the days.

Lockers
Lockers are available for rent for Php100 each. To secure a locker, proceed to the counter near the ticketing area, present any valid ID, and pay Php100 for deposit and another Php100 (promo rate) for the rental. Be sure to keep the receipt safe as they will be requiring it later when you want to claim your deposit.

Dress Code
The waterpark is quite strict when it comes to the implementation of the dress code. So, before heading to the waterpark, be sure that your swimming outfit is allowed. Take note that diapers, boxer shorts, undergarments, jeans, dresses, garments with zipper and buttons, jewelry and accessories, and jackets are not allowed.

The whole WaterWorld Cebu was designed with the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of the visitors in mind. The waterpark has 124 rentable tables, 24 day-use & airconditioned aqua suites, and function rooms which can accommodate up to 220 persons in total.

Showers
Before being allowed to swim or enjoy the various water amenities, all guests are required to shower at the designated shower area.

Lazy River
The lazy river is 4 meters wide and about 200 meters long. It is only about 4 feet deep so it is perfect even for young kids (accompanied by adults).

Guests are allowed to use the inflatables free of charge and they can take as many ‘rides’ as they want.

Water Playground
One of the highlights of the waterpark is the massive water playground which features 14 fiberglass animal creatures, slides of all types and lengths, and other fun features.

Slides located inside the water playground are safe for kids. Lifeguards and waterpark personnel are also visible in various parts of the water playground at all times.
Children are not required but encouraged to wear life vests inside the waterpark.

Extreme Slides
The extreme slides located outside the water playground require a specific height limit. Also, the personnel manning these slides are stricter in implementing waterpark rules. Each ‘rider’ is given instructions before they are allowed to take the ‘ride.’

Tsunami Wave Pool
The Tsunami Wave Pool is easily a crowd favorite. This 1,800 square meter water pool is perfect for guests of all ages. Children, however, are required to wear life vests at all times.

Wave pools can be quite dangerous as the deepest parts are around 7 feet deep. So lifeguards are always on standby when the wave pool is working. The ‘waves’ are only turned on based on schedule several times a day. The pool, however, remains open at all times.

And since bringing in of food and drinks is not allowed, the waterpark has its own food outlets which offer a wide variety of dishes and snacks. The food outlets at WaterWorld Cebu include Food World, Barbecue Bay, Tiki Island Bar, and Snack Shack.
Rentable Tables
WaterWorld Cebu has a total of 124 tables for rent. These tables can accommodate up to 10 people. Promo rate for tables is Php400 (Regular Php500).

Food Outlets
There are several food outlets inside the waterpark. Each one will be serving different types of dishes or snacks. Barbecue Bay will serve grilled favorites while Snack Shack will be offering snack choices.

Aqua Suites
WaterWorld Cebu has a total of 24 Aqua Suites. (Promo rate: Php2,500). Each unit can accommodate up to 15 people and will have 2 daybeds, a private comfort room, high-speed WiFi, and a flat-screen TV with Cable service)

Splash Shop
WaterWorld Cebu also has a souvenir shop called Splash Shop which sells swimming gears, gift items, and a whole lot more!
