Out of Cebu: Bindoy, Again!

Here’s another OUT OF CEBU (OOC) entry re our most recent trip to Bindoy in Negros Oriental. We managed to visit Bindoy for its annual fiesta.

The trip was uneventful until we reached Sibulan in Negros. On our jeepney ride to Dumaguete, a decent-looking guy sat beside me. He was carrying a backpack and he placed it on his lap. He probably thought that I was a traveller because of my big bag, so he decided to get his hands in my pocket to see if I had any cash. He used the backpack on his lap to cover what his left hand was doing. BUT, I noticed it and told my mom to ‘Hold on to your bag’. My mom was sitting on the other side of the jeep. The guy panicked and jumped off the jeep at the next stop. LOL. By the way, there was nothing in my left pocket. Only Lucy. LOL.

Osman with Banana. Wow!

The passenger terminal in Santander, Cebu

Fastcraft to Sibulan, Negros Oriental – only 10 to 15 minutes! Wooot!

Was she Miss Bindoy before? Nalingaw ko sa iyang mga litrato with the umbrella. Wa man nimo kodaki ang naluto nga kinhason, Ley! Gimingaw na ra ba ko ana. Ang saang ni Osman, that’s a cool find. Makaon ba na (ang unod, dili ang shell)?

  5. I’ve been to Santander once long, long time ago during mayor Abeniz time, amiga man mi sa iyang daughter during college in USC…. wow what a changed!

Fiesta (lechon), dagat (kinhason), kalubihan (butong)
kalame ba. Lame nang sabaw sa kinhason. Ingon pa sa akong mama kung asa to nag atubang ang pointed parts sa Saang, toa did2 dapit magtago iya paris. Im not sure how true, alam muna ang mga matanda.

Lage oi! baka mahuyang tong mangunguot. Maayo gani wla kawata si Lucy. Satch gonna find another one in the US then.

Yay!!! ang tuyom nagbaha. The name of the small brown fish is Bunog as what we call it in Luyang. Where the pointed part of the leaf is facing, that’s were u can see the fish.

For me, your mom is cutey! Hello Osman ur 2nd yr now, a’nt you?

  14. As usual, an awesome pix. You have a very fun loving mom, Ley. I’ve never seen a leafy looking fish like that before. It’s just about right for Osman to eat most of the giant aninikad since he catched it. Hahaha! Aninikad is my fave shellmeat, lami kaayo na. Still good looking lined up coco tress.
