Cebuanos were treated to a preview of the exciting Sinulog Grand Parade performances via the Sinulog sa Dakbayan 2024 competition. The event, divided into two categories, is basically held a week before the feast to choose the best groups that will be able to compete at the grand parade.
Originally, only students from Cebu schools joined the competitions. This year, however, performers from the barangays (for Dakbayan) and municipalities/cities (for Lalawigan) and not from local public schools made up the contingents.
For this reason, the event was simply called Sinulog sa Dakbayan 2024 instead of Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan 2024.
