Florentino’s Eco-Park: A New Discovery

One of the many places that I visited as soon as I arrived back here in Cebu was the TransCentral Highway. As you all know, the TCH is one of my most favorite spots in Cebu. And as a matter of fact, I have made several posts about it in the past.

I like to visit the TCH not only because of the fresh air and the wonderful view, but also because it always has something new to discover. And true enough, for this trip, I discovered yet another beautiful spot that you definitely have to check out. Read on to know more about it!

Florentino’s Eco-Park is located in the town of Balamban, around 37 kilometers from Cebu City. If you see this sign, slow down, and turn left towards the park’s parking lot.

On weekends, the park can get dozens of visitors. But if you come on weekdays, you’ll find only a couple of guests. If you’re lucky, you might even have the whole place to yourself.

After paying the entrance fee (PhP 50 per head,) you’ll cross this small walkway to reach the main viewing deck.

The main viewing deck offers an amazing view of the mountains and coast of Balamban.

The eco-park has several huts (with tables and chair) for family picnics. You can rent one space for as low as 150 per hour.

The coast of Balamban is looking mighty fine from here.

Going down the staircase, you will reach the park’s beautiful garden.

The garden is lovely and is very well-maintained.

At the bottom of the garden is a small pond with a cute bridge.

Here is a view of the garden below the picnic huts.

The garden is adorned with various statues of angels and animals.

This is just one of the many beautiful species of flowers you can find in Florentino’s garden.

I must say that the highlight of the whole park are these gorgeous wooden picnic tables.

These ‘hanging’ picnic tables offer an amazing view of the mountains below.

Here’s what the ‘hanging’ picnic tables look like. You can rent one for only Php 50 per hour.

If you’re looking for your next Instagram and Facebook spot, you should definitely check out Florentino’s Eco-Park in Balamban, Cebu. You won’t get disappointment!
