Cebu as of May 2014
Well, according to my mom, she heard in the news that Plaza Sugbo (that area right next to the Magellan’s Cross kiosk) is now off-limits to vendors and street kids. I’m personally not aware of such development but I guess it’s true. The plaza was strangely clean and quiet when I went there last Saturday.
The road networks of Cebu City are quite a pain in the neck these days. Well, it’s mainly due to road repairs, asphalting, and widening projects EVERYWHERE! This portion of V. Rama Avenue has been undergoing repairs for the past two weeks.
And this section in M. Velez Street has been causing me pain for months now.
At long last, the houses and structures affected by the widening project are finally getting demolished.
Lantaw at the South Road Properties is the first restaurant to operate in Cebu’s next biggest address – the SRP.
FilInvest’s entertainment and lifestyle complex Il Corso is slowly beginning to take shape at the SRP.
The first StarMall is now being constructed in Talisay City.
Another very exciting project at the SRP is the SM Seaside City complex.
The rendering shows the tower at the very center of the property.
SM SRP now beginning to look really exciting.
Cebu’s soon-to-be-tallest building Horizons 101 building.
After rising from the ashes, the new Gaisano ‘South’ looks really fresh and pretty.
Cebu’s Hotel District near the Cebu Business Park.
The giants of the CBP area.
Cebu Business Park and the currently under construction Park Point Residences.
The giants of CBP – Sedona Parc and Calyx Residences.
SkyRise 5 at the Cebu Business Park.
High-end condo development 1016 Residences at the Cebu Business Park.
What do you think of these developments?

Thanks for the updates Ley. Oh Cebu! I won’t recognize you when I return…
Wow may updates na. Buti na lang I thought of visiting your blog.

Cebu now looks so nice! Before, it was supposed to look like other component cities (eg. Bacolod City) until the late 80’s when it began to look like Makati.
Cebu kay pinaka the best place sa tibook Pilipinas… Lets help guys to promote UBEC mga bai..
its seems endless of possibilities happening right now in cebu. intense of development happening right now, although traffic chaos due to road concrete project. but i saw the benefits. Hey, Leylander… your post really interesting as expected.
Kudos to you Leylander! This is one of the best sites that shows the best of Cebu. Would you mind if I post my condo unit that I’m looking to trade for a property in the US?
