Ready For Sinulog 2011!

Last December 31, while everyone was busy at home, I quietly got on my bike and drove to Fuente Osmeña to take some shots. I’ve decided to make it a personal tradition to take pictures of  the area just hours before the year ends. These shots were taken at around ten in the morning. I hope you like the photos! 🙂

Cebu City is ready for Sinulog 2011!!!

Sinulog display of St. Cecilia’s College in Minglanilla. I really like their theme this year.

Their display mirrors the typical and traditional Cebuano celebration of Senyor Santo Niño’s feast day.

Right in the middle is the depiction of a ‘prosesyon’ or procession.

Behind it are, of course, the devotees and Sinulog dancers.

And because food is a very important part of any Cebuano celebration, the Cebu lechon is present.

Lantaka! Hehe.

And of course, the fun games and activities for children.

Also, Penshoppe never fails to deliver. Their display this year is simple, unique, and very green.

Nice!

Pit Señor!

The very beautiful Osmeña Fountain. Very peaceful!

The stage. Fresh from the Pasko sa Sugbo 2010 celebration. It will be very busy again once the Sinulog week opens.

I’m so excited for Sinulog next Sunday. The only part that I’m worried about is the fact that I do not have a camera to take pictures with. I don’t think proudly wearing the Sinulog Photographer’s ID and using a simple point and shoot camera at the same time would sound right. Hahaha. Anyway, I hope that my friend Line would be kind enough to share her Sinulog photos with us. I’ll still be taking pictures, of course. But only when nobody’s watching. Haha.

Pit Senyor, everyone!
