Different Perspective

Here are some of the shots that I took when I went to the Crown Regency Hotel tower to try the Edge Coaster. I decided to post these photos in a separate entry in case you want to skip the Edge Coaster photos. Hehehe. Anyway, mao ni ang view sa Cebu kung magtungtong ka sa taas sa usa ka 40-andana nga building. You can literally see the entire city! And grabe kanindot ang view sa taas. Try unya ninyo para makakita sad mo! 🙂

Although Php 380 ang entrance for two people, I think ang view lang daan, is worth every penny na! Hehehe.

  1. nice pics bai ley, seems like you always find these good angles and opportunities to shoot these views….good job, man…. btw, if you don’t mind my asking, how powerful are your telephoto lenses that you’re able to take good images of subjects from a good distance….

  2. cebu is overcrowded with ghettos. the aerial view might be pretty if those ghettos’ rooftops are at least painted with bright colors. the big bulletin boards are annoying. they were never attractively made.

    nice pagkashot!

pero ang view very disappointing jud kaayo. mura jug manila. samok.

    mas nindot pa ang vietnam.

  3. wow! i love the pictures. mora sad ug nakaadto nako sa peak sa crown regency by just looking at the pics. thank you for sharing! if naay extra money moadto jud mi sa akong barkada.

  6. Ley, awesome photogs! thanks….

    @ karlene,
yeah, i agree w/ you to some point…. residing/growing up in the US for such a long time makes me homesick for some reason i don’t know why….. cebu is beautiful but the extreme is poverty just like Mla….. my husband who has been to phil./cebu for the first time of our 8yr marriage found the country beautiful but was sooo “culture shock” happily we are going back to cebu for the sinlulog festival (have alot to be thankful for)…… probably just like you, we travelled and have lived almost around the world due to our respective jobs….. USA and Europe is the best place to make money but CEBU is where my/our heart belongs to ……

Congrats!!!! You really deserve it!!! Your blog provided us with different and exciting updates of Cebu and honestly, after reading SunStar online, usually my next stop is your blog..or vice versa.

Great Job Ley and looking forward to more entries in 2009!!!

    🙂

  10. Cebu City more greater than Tuguegarao City, i wish that some day i would have my cameras to shot my town and share it to you.

A big thank you, for your support for promotion of the beauty of Philippines.

  11. Hi Ley!

Continue for showing the whole world just how beautiful cebu is.
Nagkama.ayu mn imong shots nagkadugay ley. Kudos!

God bless and have a wonderful 2009

  12. Karlene, before you open your mouth make sure you know what your talking about. If you got nothing nice to say about CEBU i suggest you shut your mouth.Otherwise, if you gonna start talking like a bitch i’m gonna have to slap you like a bitch, bitch…

  13. Nice shots ley!! Medyo nawala gamay ako pagka homesick pagkakita nako sa imo mga kuha. Kani si inday karlene hapit pa jud ug panaway oi! Sa Vietnam na lng puyo inday kong di ka ganahan sa cebu.

  14. ley, another feather on your cap!!!! congratulations on the awards! yey!!!
love your work, very beautiful, thanks for posting Cebu, will always be
    beautiful in my eyes.
just as Prederick suggest, pls post the newly renovated Marriott, that would
be most helpful. Coming back this yr, God willing, would love to stay there again. thanks, ley

  15. Sure, Vietnam is beautiful but it’s not home. Cebu is and it may be overcrowded with ghettos and it may have the ugliest aerial views, but why hide reality with “pretty” colors when something good can come out of it? Those ghettos are home to a lot of people who are busy looking for a way to survive the day and I don’t think painting a pretty color on their rooftops for the likes of some is a priority and a solution to their poverty.

Bitaw, Ley, CONGRATS gyud! You deserve to be on the top! Your shots are always great and your passion for our island is something to be proud of! Keep up the great work!

  16. naa koy comment sort of like a counter-attack sa previous commentor nga murag nabatian sa akong gicomment. murag wala nimo mapost. naa juy tawo nga limtanon noh or plastik lang jud. mulimod pa jud.

kanang mga uban dra nga mopataka lang ug react sa comments nga wala gani sila kasabot, AYAW NALANG MOG REACT DIHA. get over with your pointless logic. basaha ug sabta ang comments sa uban hap before mo atake.

read my previous posts. there is both nega and positive. kana akoa plain dumb comment ra na pero thats a straight, frank feedback… pwede ayaw ninyo dibdiba.

I NEVER HATED CEBU, BUT THERE ARE THINGS TO THANK FOR AND FROWNED UPON WHEN WE TALK ABOUT URBAN LIFE IN CEBU. so shut the f*ck up!

oh well sorry, we have the freedom of speech diay. my bad. =(

  17. ehehehe….nobody is right nor wrong, theyre only opinions and everybody is entitled to their own. but anyway, i love the pics. youre giving me ideas on where to go to the next time i go back home (which i hope is soon considering the recession here in US). unsay brand sa imong dig cam? nice jud kaayo ang iyang kuha, morag pang-professional. im so glad i found this site. keep those cebu pics coming.

  18. These photo’s are fantastic! They bring memories and surprises. I never knew that Cebu is this progressive, the other surprise is I never knew that a 10X optical zoom can get you this close!
Thanks Leylander for taking time and effort to do all this!
    Blessings to you Bai!
