Hello Again, Moalboal!

Next on our list was Moalboal. Moalboal is famous for its white-sand beaches and dive spots. When we reached Basdaku in Baranggay Saavedra, Moalboal, we got two rooms worth Php700 each and we set up 3 tents at the beach! Woohoo! After dinner, we made a bonfire at the beach and we chatted and drank and laughed so hard. It was really fun!

Plan an overnight trip to Moalboal now!

Bangka at the beach. Lovely lovely sight.

Another bangka.

Yet another bangka. Really awesome.

Enjoying ‘Survivor: Panama’ at the beach! Woohoo!

Beautiful sunset.

Then, we went to the Poblacion (town center) for dinner. Kay wala mi baon. Hehehe.

Busog na ni Yum ug Uzi. LOL.

Gikuwangan pa si Ivan. Hahaha.

  4. The ‘beautiful sunset’ photo gives me goosebumps. Another one I especially like is ‘Erin enjoying the white sand’. This place is very beautiful. I have never been there. I hope I get to visit someday. I also hope the locals and visitors will really treasure the place – no litter on the ground and water, no overdevelopment. Kanang Pescador Island, naka-adto na ka ana Ley? Unsa may naa didto?

  5. i also can’t get enough of moalboal. i love the clear water and white sand. kaya pinaligo ko ang buhangin. nyahaha 😆 good thing nikuyog ko. kung hindi, inggit na naman ako. bwahaha 😆

  6. Thanks for the beautiful photos. these remind me of my family’s summer vacations spent in moalboal. We had to take a “pambot” to Panagsama Beach … went swimming between scavenging for sea shells, starfish, polished stones, …and bakasi on low tides. There were no huts or porta-potty! We made no complaints. But the beach is fabulous!
Thanks heavens for white beaches and beautiful sunsets!!!

  7. joke time!

security: excuse me po mam, titingnan ko lang ang bag nyo kung merong baril .
tiguwang: unsa?!! di man gani maigo ang balde sa akong bag, baril pa kaha!

  8. lookin for ‘porta-potty’? no WAyyyyyyyyy. . . . n d mdl of d jungle, tarzan just poopoooo lswhere n use dahon, peeble or stone to clean it up=(:- or just unleash it on the water-wat a sigh of relief. . toinks

  9. ah, one of my favorite pieces of heaven, basdaku. every time we visited my dad’s family when i was growing up, favorite gyud na namo ang basdaku. wayyy before they all collected entrance fees. way before there were cottages on the beach, favorite na gyud na namo ang white sand sa basdaku. in recent years, a wonderful addition is the rent-a-showers of the residents there. God bless their entrepreneurial souls.

  10. LEI! laag na pod ta oist!
thinking about moalboal makes me laugh gyud hehehe our escapade with meyr! ‘member?? =)

  11. Hello Friend,

Nice photos. Been planning to go there with my family. May I ask the way going to Bas Daku and any contach person of the hut that you rented for Php700? That is absolutely a wicked package to treat my family.

    Daghang Salamat.

  12. Been to Maolboal but may i ask the way going to Bas Daku and any contact person of the hut that you rented for Php700? Where do I stop if i take a ceres bus from cebu city.

  13. just say ‘simbahan’ sa moalboal. the buses usually stop there, anyways.

also, there are lots of cottages sa beach. you can easily get one bisag sunday.

  14. ley, buses usually stop sa simbhan sa moalboal?? then wat’s the exact location.. is bas daku just behind the simbahan or mo travel pa?.. pwede ba mag.tent didto then overnyt w/out renting a cottage or room?? hehe.. i’m dying to go to moalboal.. i haven’t been there pa jud.. suya ko..
thnx for the pix.. got an idea where to go na jud..

  15. inig abot nimo sa simbahan, naay daghan tricyle ug multicabs nga makit-an. Sabuta lang ang tricycle kung pila per head. Or multicab kun daghan mo. Naay mga multicab mo musugot ug wait kung dili mo magovernight. Layo2x man gud from the main road to the beach gyud. Kung mag-overnight mo, pamalihug lang mo sa mga tricycle nga mularga from the beach to the main road nga magpadala mo ug laing tricycle or multicab para kuhaon mo.

Ayaw mo kabalaka kay daghan kaayo cottages didto. Pili lang mo. From 500 to mga mahalon.

  16. hello. i’m really enjoying here in your blog. tnx 4 posting nice fotos. ask lng q f tagpila na bus fare ron for moalboal? den pila sd kha sa tricycle pdng bas daku? den pilay capacity sa hut nga tag P500?im planning to go there with my frnds kai nasuya q sa imu pix..hehe.. tnx

  17. around 100 ang bus. dayon for the tricycle, siguro mga 15 to 20 per head. usually, ang mga cottages kay unlimited na na. bisag pila mo magstay sa usa ka cottage. pwede pa pud mo muabang ug open cottage (for your food lang) dayon mag tent mo sa atubangan. pwede mag bonfire inig gabii basta hipuson lang inig human. 😀

  18. hi,

just want to ask wats name of the beach resort in moalboal wer you had your stay? and how to get there? we are planning to have an overnyt also at basdaku & wer looking for a cheaper but beatiful plce to stay in basdaku, moalboal.

    thanks

  19. naa ni siya accomodation for overnight stay? if so, how much? can you please give me an insight of the place on your pix? where in moalboal exactly? hope you can help me on this…tnx…

  20. must-try: SNORKELING for only 50 pesos per head. i got to see one of the best views i’ve had in my entire life. fishes of different colors, live corals, snakes, starfishes, a deeeeeep cliff it was so dark, almost black. some of my friends who tried it even saw PAWIKANS. wow. you wouldn’t think you only paid 50 pesos for a view like that.

tip: bring your own snorkel so you could use the breather without the yucky feeling of having to share it with other people who’s used it already.

    p.s.
i heard dli na daw pwede mag bonfire. hmmmm

  21. The Moalbaoal beach we went to was really a good and exceptional-white beach and definitely a go to recommend! we were there 1st week of january this yr. . tho we did not enjoy so much coz of the weather it was bit raining and stormy towards dusk but we did have some few hours of fun when the sun showed up. luv to go back when get the chance. .enshallla !!!

  22. wow moalboal. id really love to go there but don’t know where to stay. i’ve heard of basdaku which is not too expensive. how much are the rooms of basdaku resort anyway? hope you can help. teehee 🙂 nice photoblog 🙂

    1. you can get a small hut (with one bed, bathroom, and a small veranda) for 500. you can get some open cottages for only 200. you can also bring your own tents and set up at the beach. if you plan to use tents, it’d be safer if you go there friday or saturday. many campers from the city go to moalboal during the weekend.

  23. asa man na dapit ang tag 500 ra nga cottage? mao nang dapit sa naai volleyball net? and naa sad ba silay uban rooms nga aircon? same beach ra gihapon? thanks..planning to go there this weekend..and kailangan mi ug atleast usa lang ka room nga aircon kay para sa amu visitors from the states nga barato sad..mabuhi raman mi anang tent2x lang..

    1. naa man daghan barato didto. especially karon nga dili kaayo daghan mangadto. subaya lang ang mga beach and pick the best one. dayon don’t forget to hangyo. madala ra lagi na. 🙂

katong 500 mao tong tapad sa tindahan nga naay family gapuyo.
