Can’t Get Enough Of Barili

On our way to Moalboal, we stopped by this awesome spot in Barili. From here, you can see the awesome coastline of Barili. The place is just great! A bunch of foreigners also stopped for a short while to enjoy and admire the fantastic view.

The next time you pass by Barili, make a short stop and just appreciate.

CLICK ON PIC for full view.

To the beach!

Photoshoot ang mga artistahin kadali. Hehehe.

  1. nice site! just wanted to add that barili has more interesting places that you should discover: mantayupan falls, bolobc boloc mountain spring resort, Sayaw Beach, Palalong Place (that’s the one you featured).

But more interestingly, barili is home to old structures typical of filipino architecture. If you can please visit this link http://fildude.blogspot.com/search/label/barili i’d also like to include your site as part of my list if that’s okay.

    many thanks!

  2. Truly a beautiful sight to behold esp at sunset. The is a resthouse at the view point. There is a sad story here during the japanese occupation where civilians where push over the cliff so I heard from the locals. Btw do you know the name of this viewpoint. I had trouble telling the bus where to stop as Barili is a big place..thanks

  7. kahibawo ba mu nga there’s more to Barili than meets the eye? i bet you sometimes get bored coz of all the trees and stuff, but we have a spa in the mountains, a majestic falls that’s higher than of kawasan, caves in different sites, dive sites, and dairy farms?

  8. PALALONG, one of my favorite spots in my hometown, so many memories 😉 across the water is barangay japitan, i could see my grandparents’ house near the pantalan. i had a pictorial here for my law school yearbook, such an awesome view. It is said that during WWII, Japanese soldiers speared babies with their bayonets and threw them over this cliff. I have never heard of any haunting, though. Now, there’s a war memorial nearby – a big cross. Another notable geographic feature nearby is Batong Arco. A right of passage for youngsters growing up – swimming/boating to it, climbing it and jumping off into the water! Never did the whole thing myself, just up to the boating part 😉 In high school, we had CAT officers’ training during the summer and we would jog at 5:00 am from Sta. Ana Academy to Sayaw Beach. I remember the bend just before Palalong is where we would do the duck walk – super torture! What’s so vivid during the duck walk was the road stained with fallen lumboy! Missing home from Vancouver, BC 😉
