” Daghang Salamat Kanimo! Señor Sto. Niño! Viva Pit Señor!!!!”

    Kita Kits ninyo tanan!!

  6. bantay gyud mo sa taga alikaraw….hay first time ra ba nila sa competisyon kaya they give their best to it……it is their premiere in sinulog kaya bongga ito..heheheheh
tribu alikaraw did not dream to win but they dream that their first performance in sinulog will be exciting and surprising may be because it is their stepping stone or basis for them to join Sinulog Festival again ….Kumbaga maganda ang kanilang ipapalabas so that people will remember their performance….

  7. Ayaw mo ug palabi ug ka pressured sa Tribu Alikaraw uy kay it’s just there first time to join, they are not after bringing home the beacon but they are after the astonishing and breathtaking experience of joining the perstigious and renowned Sinulog Festival…..Good Luck!!!!!!!

  8. alikaraw? Wala man na madungog? A word of advice sa first time entries. Do not expect too much. People get frustrated by that. The contingents joining in the Sinulog have proven their worth.

Ako pa sa inyo, pag hilom lang sa mo. Kay basin, sige mo ug drum up sa inyong manok and it will turn out to be a dud during their performance. Di ba?

    So cool lang kayo dyan!

  9. pls dont judge Tribu Alikaraw….. we have met them before in aliwan fiesta 2007…..they are very nice and in fact they ended up third place in Aliwan Fiesta 2007…..we know this kids are very good so it’s not impossible for them not to bring home the bacon too…

all i want to say now….is lets just have fun this sunday, hope for the best….and see u on sunday Tribu Alikaraw! good luck and god bless…

  10. hoy!

  11. Congrats to Lumad Basakanon and Tribu Alikaraw. I was rooting for Alikaraw though, the kids performance was excelent but Lumad Baskanon was exceptional. Proud kaayo mi taga Hilongos ninyo Alikaraw..

Lumad – go for gold sa Aliwan….think Alikaraw cant join.
    Dasdas Alikaraw…

  12. Barry Luche was a former dancer of Pasil Contingent whos chreographer happens to be the brother of Lumad Basakanon’s choreographer…..that’s why some of the steps used in tribu iliganon are a bit similar and i even saw trademark choreography of Lumad Basakanon used also….

Barry gets almost all of his concept/idea from used concepts of lumad basakanon and give a little “Barry’s Touch” to it. So meaning…Lumad Basakanon is Barry’s Inspiration. jejeje

Barry was the choreographer of bantayan since 1996-1999 i think……then to IPI, then to iligan on 2005-2006, then to camiguin last year, then back to iligan this year..

We can easilly distinguish Lumad Basakanon’s Steps and Choreography because…each step or figure is 100% original and are made by the dancers themselves, every step submitted are carefully screened and studied if it fits the chosen motif/concept for that year……that’s why every year we come up with new steps that of course are relevant to the chosen concept. And we also recycle some of our original steps but give new arrangement to it to put a little twist and drama every concept made. kung baga “Signatured Steps” bah, BAHALA NA BALIK-BALIK BASTA WLA LANG MI NANGUPYA.

As what i have observed from this year’s competition…. almost 45% of the the total participants in Free Interpretation Category was using Lumad Concepts and Choreography which in fact is very obvious…..I even heared some spectators saying “Lumad mu dong?…..kato diay’ng gauna ninyo di diay to Lumad? abi man gud namo kamo to?” which is a very good thing for us coz that just proves that they IDOLIZE US!!! jejejeje

  13. dark master,

Niingon bitaw ko nga wala ko kahibalo. Sala ba diay nako kun wala mo madungog. Kung wala ko makadungog ninyo before then it means DILI MO ANA KASIKAT!

Pero I have made my piece in my blog that I was wrong. Karon nakaila na ko sa inyo and by next year I will be the first one to advertise your contingent next year.

Peace! I even thought you will win because of your novel steps. Basakanon instead win again.

  14. jejeje…diba i told u not to judge Alikaraw….Lumad Basakanon and Alikaraw are very good friends because of Aliwan Fiesta 2007…..mga maau kaayu na cla mga bataa….finally we got the chance to talk to the dancers during the awarding ceremony last monday…ana cla “kumusta naman mu kuya!!” unya ni hug cla namo!! mga cute dyud kaayu mga bataa…ejejeje ana pa dyud cla nga naguol kuno cla kay third ra cla….ana mi yaw mo kaguol kay pra namo kamo ang pinakamaayu sa tanan nga from outside cebu nga contigents…”kana inyo na kontra sa cnulog ala na ka place sa Aliwan nga “Mother of All Festivals” man gani to! so….it means nga maayu pamu ana nla tanan, kay nationwide gud to inyo na dag-an.” jejeje mas kamo man ta gani angay 2nd place kay cute kay mu unya mga maayu pa dyud…..and carmen ta to ang third kay nangupya sa among color concept sa custume pag last year og ngupya pud mga steps….jujuj faet, nya cla pa dyud ang na best in custume!…pagka faet!
