Sun and Sand at the Vaño Beach in Mactan

Vaño Beach is one of the most popular many low-range beach resorts in Mactan Island. The place is not bad at all and you can enjoy the water, the sun, and the sand the same way those high-rollers are having the time of their lives next door (Plantation Bay, for example).

The entrance fee to the resort is Php20 per person. Huts, cottages, and tables have separate rates.

This is what Vaño Beach looks like at five in the afternoon. Lovely, right?

There are plenty of open cottages lining the beach at the resort. So, finding a spot for that beach gathering is really easy.

This is what the rows of affordable day cottages at the resort look like. They’re pretty simple but they get the job done. Each cottage has benches, a table, and a roof. Each cottage can accommodate up to a dozen people.

If you’re driving your own car, coaster, or bus to the resort, then parking is definitely not a problem. There are plenty of open spaces for parking at the resort.

And yeah, look who enjoyed the sand and the sun, too! Satchmo didn’t want to go home!

More shots of Satchmo enjoying a quiet and lazy afternoon at the beach.

  1. A clean and comfy place indeed..and for a lesser price! Ilailahon nato ang owner bi para better hehe…btw, unsyalan man nang airsoft Ley? I got across the word the first time gahapon…intriguing..uso na diha karon?

    1. Kilid ra gyud sa Plantation Bay.

And the owner ( a friend of mine sa airsoft) developed the resort well enough to be a good, nice, clean haven. There are also security guards patrolling the beach; I don’t have to worry about guarding my mountain bike all the time.

  2. hahahah! suki jud mi dri sa vaño beach, affordable gud kaau ug nice pa jud ang lugar..kilid jud sa plantation bay, mura sd ta ug naa sa plantation, wehehehe..u shud go there peepz!

  3. This reminds me sa una we used to kid when asked asa mi mo adto. The response would be, mangaligo sa “Yoban” beach. Which meant, maligo sa banyo, ahaha.

  4. Hey I so appreciate you posting this. I was looking for the location of Vaño beach and this came out 😀 lol I was wondering if you have any contact numbers for it? Me and my friends would probably sleep over during the weekends. Thanks 🙂

  5. I appreciate your site thanks my family mopauli sa karon fiesta s
Senor now you give me an idea where to go. The place is so beautiful hopefully we can see them all we only be there for two weeks

  6. I was there last 05/30/2010 the place is not that bad considering that you can
just spend for about P300 for the small cottage. However at night unknown insects
who bite you every now and then is very disturbing and even break your bonding
moments. Also your belongings are not safe, there are children who’s all over
the place waiting for a chance that you left your thing’s unattended. These things
are part of the package so its very acceptable. However my GREATEST DISAPPOINTMENT is that when we decided to get an air conditioned room good for two persons worth P1500 plus 300 deposit for the key. I don’t know if that’s the way they treat their customer’s or its just a miss communication because the guard on duty at the time we get the room told us that we will be out at 10pm on the next
day but the staff on the next day informed us at around 3pm that we’ve exceeded
our time because we are supposedly out at 10am and we are treated like liars they
even told us that they will call a police, we are not saying that we will not pay
for the excess time, what we want on them is to present the guard whom we’ve
negotiated with. Also it they really care for their customer’s they should inform
us ahead that we are in excess on our allotted time.

A peace of advice VAÑO beach is not a good choice or if you don’t have any choice
bring anti insect lotion or etc. Don’t leave your things unattended as well as make clear negotiations and don’t forget to ask receipts for every transaction.

  7. i just want to raise my suggestions at Vaño Beach Resort Marigondon,Mactan Island since we’ve always been their last summer 2010 every time we go at the beach well i see its getting messy, 1st is the shoreline area because its like for a months the maintenance personnel really never maintain its cleanliness as well as from the shoreline going to the beach area it has a lot of greens seaweeds and other waste materials. Sometimes people swimming felt irritated since the sea water is really gray with this pump boats also always parked near from the shoreline. It looks distractive from the people that will swim on the beach. I hope that they will always clean their shoreline as well as the beach area near to the shore and get those waste materials. For the other beach resort also in Mactan Island as they will keep it clean for its goodness for the environment with healthy living for our tourism industry.

  8. Nice ang Vano beach but when high tides the water will be on stairs and so the sea is gray you could not see clearly under so be careful that you will not bump on the stairs.
